I’m pleased to offer a truly special vintage Rolex Datejust 36 Ref. 1603 in the coveted Ghost Buckley dial variant—one of the most sought‑after Datejust finishes from the late 1960s. The ethereal, silvery‑grey “Ghost” Buckley surface subtly shimmers in every light, lending this watch a quiet sophistication and unmistakable presence on the wrist. The Ghost Buckley dial is in pristine, museum‑quality condition. All luminous plots remain fully intact with no loss of height or cracking, and the matte surface shows no visible aging, spotting or patina—a remarkably clean example for a dial of this era. The 36 mm stainless‑steel case displays very good, sharp edges on the lugs, suggesting it has been lightly polished at some point but has retained its original proportions beautifully. The case back bears a 5.3x mio serial—placing production around 1968. It’s mounted on its original folded‑link Jubilee bracelet, clasp stamped 6251H and equipped with 55 endlinks. The clasp carries the standard era code without a specific date indicator. With 21 total links, this bracelet will comfortably fit up to approximately 7.5 inches (19 cm) around the wrist. The bracelet itself is in very good condition, exhibiting only light surface wear and minimal stretch consistent with careful use.
